Tours in the Amazon will vary according to which country you choose to visit in. Amazon tours can also vary wildly in comfort level and hence cost so we will help you find the correct tour to suit your particular requirements.

Amazon Lodges - Are the most popular way to see the rainforest as there are many options, across the price range, and they offer rustic hotel accommodation with daytime excursions by boat, so you get the best of both worlds. Amazon tours that use lodges generally involve flying to the nearest main airport, transfering by vehicle to the dock and then traveling by boat to the lodge which is normally located on the banks of the main river or one of its tributaries.

Once at the lodge you will take two or three excursions per day to view wildlife, birds, fauna, insects and nocturnal life. You may cruise on the river or walk through tracts of jungle, always accompanied by your guide and boatmen where required. Meals are usually included at such lodges. Amazon Cruises - Are very comfortable ways to see the Amazon river and its surrounding flora and fauna. Many people choose this type of amazon tour as there will be less moving around and one can take it very easy. These amazon tours are often more expensive and as such clients receive an increased level of comfort. Typically the cruise will start from the main flight arrival port and sail up or down the river visiting many points of interest and taking shore excursions. Clients will sleep and eat of the boat.
